QRScan Pro ("this App") is a QR code and barcode scanning, recognition, and generation tool for iOS and macOS. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how the App handles your data.

1. Data We Collect

This App does not collect or upload any personal data. There is no account system, no advertising or third-party analytics SDK, and no user tracking of any kind.

2. Where Data Is Stored

All data generated by this App is stored locally on your device only:

• Scan / generation history: kept on-device using the system local database (SwiftData);
• App preferences: kept on-device using the system UserDefaults.

None of this data is transmitted over the network to our servers or any third party.

3. Use of Device Permissions

This App requests and uses the following permissions only when you actively use the related features:

• Camera: for scanning QR codes / barcodes. Active only on the scanning screen; no recording or uploading of video.
• Photo Library (read): for picking an image to recognize QR codes / barcodes in it.
• Photo Library (add): for saving QR code images you generate to your photo library.

You may turn off any of these permissions in system settings at any time; other features remain unaffected.

4. Network Access

The App itself establishes no network connection for transmitting your data. The built-in browser opens a web page only when you actively tap a link; the privacy practices of that website are its own responsibility and outside the scope of this policy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or disclose your data to any third party.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your history and preferences are stored locally. You can delete history records in the App, or remove all local data by uninstalling the App. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

7. Children's Privacy

This App collects no data, so no special handling for children applies. The App is intended for users of all ages and contains no child-directed content.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page. Significant changes will be highlighted in a new App release.
